Vehicles that exceed the legal weight or have a total laden weight of 60,000 kg or more must hold an excess weight licence while operating on provincial highways in Manitoba. Example: Tractor with 280 mm tyres for normal and seasonal winter tyres: 280 x 2 x 10 = 5600 kg. This would be the legal maximum for this tire size. Maximum axle load for groups of axles other than steered axles Manitoba publishes a list of driving prohibitions if conditions change.
